King PowerOne square at a time.
PromotionMake a new Queen.

In the **Endgame**, the board is quiet, which makes the King a vital piece. Unlike the Opening where he hides, here he must step forward to lead his pawns to victory.

Legal King Movement

Remember: The King moves only one square in any direction. In the endgame, you use several turns to march your King into a central "outpost" where he can control the board.

King Centralization: A King in the center (like on e3, d4, or e4) can quickly reach either side of the board to stop an enemy pawn or support his own.

In Task 1, you'll move the King one step from f2 to e3. This "centralizes" the King, placing him behind his pawn chain for maximum support.

In Task 2, you'll complete the ultimate endgame goal: Promotion. Moving your pawn to the final rank to transform it into a Queen.

Task 1: Move the White King from f2 to e3!
